Re: Parent Child Help

A child can only have 1 parent.
Register the 2 new gatekeepers as children of Parent GK-Level-1.
Parent GK-Level-1 will still be able to route the call.
Change the routing policy of Parent GK-Level-1 to default=internal

Hi
At first thanx to Simon Horne, for his suggestions,Now I have been
able to setup GKs at three levels using parent-child relationship as
follows:

EP -> OriginatingGK -> Parent GK-Level-1 -> Parent GK-Level-2 -> terminating GW

Parent GK at level 1 is parent of Originating GK and is child of
parent GK at level 2.
Now ARQs and ACFs follow heirarchy, like OriginatingGK sends ARQ to
Parent GK-Level-1 and it responds back with ACF, Parent GK-Level-1
sends ARQ to Parent GK-Level-2 and it responds with ACF accordingly.

Now I tried to make ParentGK-level1 as a child to two parents, so as
to route the call requests according to prefix dialed, something like:

                                                                Parent
GK1-Level-2 -> TGW1
                                                              /
EP -> OriginatingGK -> Parent GK-Level-1
                                                              \
                                                                Parent
GK2-Level-2 -> TGW2

 I added two end points in ParentGK-level1 as

[RoutingPolicy]
default=parent

[Endpoint]
Gatekeeper=xx.xx.xx.xx
Type=Gateway
H323ID=level1parent_1
Prefix=1
TimeToLive=900
RRQRetryInterval=10

[Endpoint]
Gatekeeper=yy.yy.yy.yy
Type=Gateway
H323ID=level1parent_2
Prefix=2
TimeToLive=900
RRQRetryInterval=10

Where xx.xx.xx.xx AND yy.yy.yy.yy are two level 2 Parent GKs. I hope
it makes sense what I am trying to do, like calls of Prefix 1 should
be routed to xx.xx.xx.xx and calls of Prefix 2 to other.

What happens is ParentGK-level1 does not get registered with second
parent, and even it does not route the calls properly. Is it possible
what I am trying to do?

Regards
