Can I assume what I see on the screen (terminal) is what would appear
in the log as well ?

Use "debug trc 5" on the status port (or -ttttt as startup parameter) to log
what's going on in detail.
Then check the log for more detailed information.

I think there was too much information in my last post so let
me cut it to
the principal;

How can I verify what is going wrong with a gateway not able
to register
onto GnuGK when the only line I get is:

LCF|216.48.176.54|2667_endp|212374229843#553334214558:dialedDi
gits|216.48.176.54;

Could it be codec negotiation ? how can I check that ?
