Thank You.
As I modified the tables a bit to fit in my needs, I included the tariffID to be appened at the end of each voipcall db so that i am able to generate a reseller based interface using php.
I was reading the past archives and just noticed that you wrote that and its really nice. I am trying to enhance it a bit, adding support for resellers.
so, if I set assignaliases in voipuser to say "12345", this acts as a h323id for h323id based authentication. Do I need anything specific to be changed in gnugk.ini as well to tell gnugk to entertain this type of authentication as well.
also,
if I set the ip address, and use FileIPAuth in gnugk as well to match the same IP, will this enable a h323 device to have authentication based on IP address, and gnugk/postgresql will have full accounting.
Cheers,
Shashi

2. Terminating accounts are used when you want to bill
calls not only by their originators but also for your terminators.
For each call you will have then two accounting records
(voipcall/voipcalltermtariff) and two accounts will be billed
(originating and terminating).
3. Yes, the log may help.

I followed the documentations and my freeradius+postgresql + gnugk+prepaid
pins are working perfectly.
I have a few additional questions:
1. How do I enable only ID based authentication ? there are a few devices
like hstellian which does not send username or passoword, but just 1 field
where we can input PIN.
There are also a few devices where the pin format is pin@pass etc.
What do I change in gnugk/postgresql/freeradius to enable those devices
too.
2. The "terminating" field in the voipuser database, is that to be used
with the FileIPAuth in gnugk gatekeeper such that for that IP,
authentication is based on its IP address and only accounting is done via
radius? and $$ dedected from the user which has terminating = t in the db?
3. SJLabs's sjphone does not work and gives a denied query, while the same
username/password works fine for a commercially developed softphone. What
debugging mode would I need to send to gnugk for maximum logging?
Thank you all for helping,
Cheers,
Shashi
