It may depend on kind of libraries linked statically
with the executable. Just use whichever version works
for you best.

I want to specify number of processes spawned by GnuGK, the daemon of
default compiled executable(downloaded from www.gnugk.org) spawns 12
processes(as when status is queried it shows 12 PID's). But when I
make the daemon of my own compiled GnuGK it spawns one Process & shows
1 PID on querying its status. How & where can I specify number of
processes to be spawned for my GnuGK daemon?
consideration will be highly appreciated
Regards
