Use Ethereal or a similar tool to debug it. The box should respond to the GCF with an RRQ, and gnugk should then send an RCF (or RRJ). It appears that gnugk is not receiving any RRQ, so the first question is whether the box is sending them. If not: is the GCF being sent on the right interface to the correct address, on the right port, and with valid contents (correct RAS address, good checksum, etc.)? If yes: is the RRQ being sent to the correct address, on the port that gnugk is listening, and with proper content? If you have any firewalls, routers, etc. between the box and gnugk, you may need to look on both ends of the network, to see if the intermediate hardware is blocking or modifying any packets. Try turning off any software firewall that may be running on your gnugk machine. It may also be useful to see if a different kind of IP phone or ATA can register ok. If you don't have any, try with a softphone. If your debugging shows that the problem is with gnugk, post your config, what version you are using on what platform, what kind of box you are using, and a trace log. --Stewart ----- Original Message ----- From: Anurag Aggarwal To: openh323gk-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, August 01, 2005 6:42 AM Subject: help i m trying to register a voip box with gatekeeper.its running in routing mode and i m using it as Voip switch from box to box comm only. When i config box in permanent end points it work but i want the box to register so as to automate the process.I can see on status screen message like GCF | 10.22.14.3||Terminal coming repeatdely.not going beyond that. and Box says RaS Time expired and reboots and tries again Help Anurag ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
