I am trying to start up gnugk 2.2.2 running on FreeBSD 5.2. I have downloaded the binaries for FreeBSD 5.3 since that is all there is and I hope they will work. I installed gnugk according to the instructions and found that I needed to install an old version of mysql client to get libmysqlclient.so.12. I just want to run gnugk as a proxy so I don't know why I need mysql but oh well. The docs don't cover that. Now I get an error:
/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libpthread.so.1" not found
Anyone know what I should do?
