"Error: rlm_sql: Stop packet with zero session length" is fine. Your RADIUS failures were probably caused by request timeouts. Make sure your database still runs smoothly (do you vacuum it often? do you keep indices fast?) and you have enough sockets configured in FreeRADIUS postgresql.conf to handle the load.

I am using gnugk 2.2.1/ sqlbill/freeradius on Redhat 9. initially the system was normal , but after 2-3 weeks calls started failing with radius error "Error: rlm_sql: Stop packet with zero session length"
Gnugk log was showing RadAcct Failure.
As a temporary solution i have disabled RadAcct and enaled SQLAcct. Now system is normal. But i need to know a better/permenant solution
Any comments welcome
Thanks in advance steve
