You have to take special care to case sensitivity of config keywords.
UserName is not the same as Username.

I am trying to configure gnugk 2.0.9, i m trying to authenticate users with the mysql dbase query (built in support with gnugk). following is my .ini file settings....

[Gatekeeper::Auth]
SQLPasswordAuth=required;RRQ,ARQ

[SQLPasswordAuth]

Driver=MySQL
Host=localhost
Database=billing
UserName=root
Password=root
MinPoolSize=5
Query=SELECT password FROM customer WHERE IPN = '%1'

I have tried to register, but i couldn't register with the gk...

following msg i get in status msg....

RCF|111.111.111.111:1720|jigar:h323_ID|terminal|9188_endp;

and i have seen one mismatch in my log file .....which is as following...

2005/03/07 18:52:47.078 2 gksql_mysql.cxx(479) SQLPasswordAuth MySQL connection to @localhost[billing] failed (mysql_real_connect failed): Access denied for user: 'ODBC@localhost' (Using password: YES)
2005/03/07 18:52:47.093 2 gksql_mysql.cxx(479) SQLPasswordAuth MySQL connection to @localhost[billing] failed (mysql_real_connect failed): Access denied for user: 'ODBC@localhost' (Using password: YES)
2005/03/07 18:52:47.093 2 gksql_mysql.cxx(479) SQLPasswordAuth MySQL connection to @localhost[billing] failed (mysql_real_connect failed): Access denied for user: 'ODBC@localhost' (Using password: YES)
2005/03/07 18:52:47.093 2 gksql_mysql.cxx(479) SQLPasswordAuth MySQL connection to @localhost[billing] failed (mysql_real_connect failed): Access denied for user: 'ODBC@localhost' (Using password: YES)
2005/03/07 18:52:47.093 2 gksql_mysql.cxx(479) SQLPasswordAuth MySQL connection to @localhost[billing] failed (mysql_real_connect failed): Access denied for user: 'ODBC@localhost' (Using password: YES)

Now here i can't understand why it is talking odbc user name to connect with the mysql... while i have already specified 'root' in my config file....

Please explain me this, and help me to find out the mistake..

Thanking You,

Jigar Thakkar.
