e164 rewriting

first of all I want to suggest that when config lines are inetrpreted by gnugk, there should always be something in the very verbose log.
Right now I have some e164 rewriting and with all the t-s crossed :) I see no mention of it in the log.

Then I want to pose a question. Is this correct? does it work, with pound key in it?

[RasSrv::RewriteE164]
123#45=56#789

or does it treat part of the config as a comment. I know the # key should be considered comment only when starting a line, but I wanted to make sure.
