i am not shure if asterisk can use username and password (cat tokens called h235), but it can use simple h323id (username) authentification for sure. In order to use it that way you have to change raduth to radaliasauth in your gnugk config. Below there is a part of oh323.conf file for asterisk, there is somenthing about gatekeeper password. Probably it is required password but i haven't tested it. If thats it you can use radauth and everything should work fine. give it a try
oh323.conf -> [register] context=default --or other alias=16122395451 --h323id alias=1234 --called number gwprefix=010 --prefixes gwprefix=50 ; Set the gatekeeper password ; ;gatekeeperPassword=secret

Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot for explanation. I am using OH323 and H323 channels. However, I am a newbie to asterisk and have no idea at all of how to accomplish what you said. I found no examples that come close to it. My calls from * to GNUGK were also rejected as callerNotTRegistered. I guess it is because of the same reason that you advised.
Please can you provide some sample configs in the aspects.
Million Thanks. Vincent

As you see, your asterisk does not send username/password to the gatekeeper. Make sure it supports CAT tokens and has username/password configured.

Thanks Michael. Not sure below is what you need. By the way, I am using RadAuth in GNUGK.

How can I register my chan_oh323 or chan_h323 of Asterisk as a gateway to GNUGK that radauth is enabled???
GCF|127.0.0.1|GW2:h323_ID|gateway; RRJ|127.0.0.1|GW2:h323_ID|gateway|securityDenial;
I also defined some H323 EPs but they were all denied.
Many thanks.
Vincent
