first i would like to thank everyone for their feedback and assistance. i have
learned many things in the exercise on how to compile, setting of flags and
what unnecessary things to disable to make a more efficient build. again
thanks.

here is where im at.
i found a pandora version of pwlib 1.8.3 and oh323 1.15.2
i compiled as per suggestions of michal and ivan, i did not modify the make
file as suggested, i wanted to try it first to see how things went. kernel is
debian 2.4.22.
both pwlib and oh323 compiled without complaints with optnoshared.
fetched 2.2.1 gnugk from cvs and compiled with accounting, radius, without
mysql or pgsql.
compiled clean, ran without a seg fault, no prob.
im putting it in production now on a test machine, i may put it live tomorrow.

good day so far!
best regards to all
ray
