Today I reached a conclusion. This conclusion is that if I am using the latest stable versions of all compiling software and if the libraries compile well, then, if when trying to compile gnugk I get an error, then this is a problem for gnugk. I am using gcc 3.4.3, make 3.80, bison 2.0, pwlib stable (sourceforge) 1.8.3, openh323 stable (sourceforge) 1.15.2. I configured the directories, I compiled pwlib and openh323 with ./configure and make opt and it all worked fine. Then I compiled gnugk with ./configure --with-large-fdset and make 1. first error, when trying to compile the _d version of the program, even if the _d version of pwlib is not installed. I fixed this by using make -k 2. segmentation fault when I start gnugk with no conf file the error comes from std::ios_base::_M_call_callbacks () from libstdc++.so.5 originating from PUDPSocket::~PUDPSocket () 3. segmentation fault when I start gnugk with conf file the error comes from std::__use_cache<std::__numpunct_cache<char> >::operator() at locale_facets.tcc:133 originating from PStringDictionary<PString>::GetClass() both segmentation fault errors seem to come from H225_H323_UU_PDU::~H225_H323_UU_PDU () PPRocess::_main() from libpt_linux_x86_r.so.1.8.3 __libc_start_main () from /lib/libc.so.6 if anyone is interested in making this work, I will help in any way I can. Right now I find another program that needs the bloody h323 libraries and I need that, too. ---- Home, no matter how far... http://www.home.ro ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
