The symlink is created by the gatekeeper and the .s file could be generated by a compiler during PWLib compilation (although they should be erased after all).

I am wondering if gnugk will generate any *.s file in /tmp that contains assembly codes as follows:
more ccZ6Fgxk.s .file "tlib.cxx" .section .bss._ZSt8__ioinit,"aw",@nobits .type _ZSt8__ioinit, @object .size _ZSt8__ioinit, 1 _ZSt8__ioinit: .zero 1 .section .rodata.str1.1,"aMS",@progbits,1 .LC0: .string "Unix" .section .text._ZN8PProcess10GetOSClassEv,"ax",@progbits .align 2 .globl _ZN8PProcess10GetOSClassEv .type _ZN8PProcess10GetOSClassEv, @function
..................
In /tmp, /etc/gnugk.ini was symbolic link to gnugk.ini-6678 as gnugk.ini-6678 -> /etc/gnugk.ini
I am using GNUGK binary from www.gnugk.org. Was my machine hacked??
Many Thanks. Vincent
