H323 to SIP

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi Michal,
Previously I have been asking you a lot of questions
regarding RAD authentication. Now I have something
different problem. I have SIP ATA and H323 ATA. I want
to make calls between them using GnuGK. As SIP and
H323 are different signalling protocols we need some
kind of translator between them. From one of the VOIP
sites that we can use Asterisk Server which can be
used as a translator. Do you have any idea about this
? Please tell me some solution to this if not
Asterisk.

One more thing is if i have a translator and I make a
call to a SIP ATA from H323 ATA then how the voice
packets will travel ? Is it thru the translator or
direct endpoint communication will happen ? If thru
translator then it will consume a lot of bandwidth,
isn't it ? Hope u got my problem.

Please help me in this regard.

Thanks

Jagan
