We've run for several months with a couple of GNUgk 2.2
gatekeepers in mixed neighbour and parent-child mode.

We had a couple of GNUgk's at customer of ours, which we
wanted to bill on our side, because we didn't want to run
any risks with abuse (not that we didn't trust them (far
from it), but to protect ourselves). Because their
customers should also be able to call our customers we
configured their gatekeepers as neigbours of the GNUgk we
were using for our customers.

We weren't able to route calls from the parent GK down to
our GK we had to use the neigbour construction.

We also used the parent - child construction some time for
upstream traffic to another proprietary gatekeeper.
