Well, I have no idea what the feature is, and it clearly creates a problem here! I would like to see an error message saaying "Unable to open file '/usr/local/gatekeeper/meaningfulname.gkf'' while registering a gateway" or something like it. That would make it really easy to find out what is wrong. Yes, I know I am not the project manager, and people are giving their time for free, however, I see nothing wrong with a) asking for help b) explaining why the existing error message is non-optimal.
