2.2 is supposed to use more threads. General rule is: A few global threads + CallSignalHandlerNumber threads + (for 2.2) variable number of RAS threads depending on load. ----- Original Message ----- From: "meix" <meix@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 2:51 AM I justed upgraded GnuGK from version 2.0.8. to version 2.2beta 5 wth FD_SETSIZE=2048. and found the starting-up thread reduced from 130 to14. Is version2.2bt suppose to start up with less thread. I set callSignalHandler=4. Does that means that we are going to have 2048 * 4 channel to handle concurrent call? I am using redhad 7.4 on a SMP (with four cpu) machine Regards, Mei Xiao ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285 _______________________________________________________ List: Openh323gk-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Archive: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=8549 Homepage: http://www.gnugk.org/
