Hi, I experienced that with the use of windows 2000 server and the 64 socket bottleneck is gone. Proxied calls are consuming bandwith. The limitations are determined more or less in a relationship between available bandwith, cpu power, technical network knowledge and different versions and compilations methods of gnugk. You will need to compile PWLib, Openh323, and Gnugk with FD_SETSIZE=512 or some nice higher number. Also, if you have only 1 processor you can still set callsignaling handler to a larger number.
