Right, that is not an option for us yet, because then you 
have no clue what the gatekeeper is doing. You have a 
feeling, but you don't know.

Because I don't know how? 

I'm already letting GNUgk rotate the logfiles, so I have 
at least one logfile per day. I don't know how I can 
configure logrotate to compress those files for me.
