Newbie question: telnet to status port not working

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I've just installed gatekeeper:

My /etc/gnugk.ini looks like this:

[snip]
[GkStatus::Auth]
rule=allow

[Gatekeeper::Main]
Fourtytwo=42

[snip]

But when I do telnet to port 7000 i does not work:

[snip]

[gatekeeper@samemachine somedirectory]# telnet localhost 7000
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
Access forbidden!

[snip]

Any reasons why this could be happening ?

Thanks,
Saket
