Do you mean 10,000 concurrent calls at time or 10K calls / hour.
The first is not realistic, the second one should be handled perfectly well.
As Jan suggested, enabling LARGE_FDSET increases performance
significantly. You may need also to recompile your kernel to support
more than 1024 sockets / process.
