Dear Craig, Yeah, sorry I already corrected myself. I have some doubts maybe you can help me out. Does Cphone run on w32 as a client? I just checked myphone and this is just openphone in another wrapping using g723 and g729. My question is if the use of these patented codecs are without risk in a operational environment. Is this legal? Do you know this? To me the only real openh323 phone source code that works under w32 is openphone. About the patented codecs is well explaind. The G.729 codec that can be used with OpenPhone is the VoiceAge demonstration codec. The G.723.1 codec is the Windows ACM codec. Neither of these are free to use.
