Odd. I'm not running this on Linux, but on FreeBSD, which doesn't have the logrotated command. However, I had tried to mv the file, then create a new one, then kill -HUP `cat /var/run/gnugk.pid` - the old file just continued to grow. However, this time I used debug trc 0 - then moved the file and HUP'd the gk. It worked fine. Thanks for the help though.
