gnugk behind/on linux router

Hello list,

does anybody have a good instruction on how to use gnugk behind or better said on a linux router. I googled hours and hours, but did not found anything. I have a Linux dsl-router with SuSE Linux Professional 9.0. On this router i want to run the gatekeeper, so that others can authorize with the gatekeeper from outside the internet. Then all calls should pass through the gatekeeper (proxy/routed!?!?) to my internal network and from internal network to internet. Are there any firewalls other than SuSEFirewall2 that can handle the h323-traffic, or do i have to shut down the firewall?

Then, another question (don´t know if it´s the right mailinglist, but think you have experience with it):
Wich codec is the best to use with OpenPhone. I heard SpeexNarraw 8kb is one of the best. I used (or OpenPhone used it alone:-() G.711-uLaw/-aLaw, but it sounds terrible (krrr, krrr, krrr, krrr).

Many thanks for answers,

kind regards

Manuel Troska
