Using eth0 and eth1 in Proxy Mode but NO NAT

All,

I wish to use two ethernet ports on my proxying gnugk. I want to have incoming traffic hit on eth0 and then send the outgoing traffic on eth1. The trick is, they will either be two IPs on the same subnet (public internet) for eth0/eth1 or two differing subnets.(eth0=66.x.x.x,eth1=65.x.x.x). But these both on the public internet. I have concern that hairpinning through one interface in Proxy mode would not be as efficient as using two separate interfaces. Thoughts? Solutions? Howtos?
