I've got exactly the same problem around here. I suspect that the speed difference is the problem, since there are a few "forward blocked" in high trace levels just before the connection dies.
I've been going through the source code and it seems not to do any buffering on T120 streams - that might be a problem.
What system are you running the GK on?
