I tried to get gnugk running on OpenBSD 3.3 a few months ago.
I think the problem is with the Singleton stuff. The compiler
and libraries on OpenBSD 3.3 are a bit dated (still using a.out format!).
You might try with OpenBSD 3.4, which now has updated the compiler
and uses ELF on x86.
