Are you saying that is because of the kernel? Right before the post I've tried it on RH 7.0 with 2.96 an 2.4.18 -it compiles cleanly but gives segmentation fault on startup. My best guess is that it is the binutils which are fsck'ed on slack. I'll try to download and compile manually the latest cvs and will post back :) > On Wednesday 14 January 2004 05:24, melwin@mailbg.com wrote: >> Now that you mention it I have the same trouble : >> ld: BFD 2.14.90.0.6 20030820 internal error, aborting at elf32-i386.c >> line 2247 in elf_i386_relocate_section >> >> But i really think that it is ld's fault not gk. >> I've tried both with gcc 3.2.2,3.2.3 and 3.3.2 on slack-current >> > > > when i used to have this problem i realised that even tho i had been > updating my packages using debian apt, and i also had new kernel > source, i did not actually build a new kernel that reflected the new > kernel source. after i built a new kernel with the source that was on > the machine this error went away. > > regards > ray > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Perforce Software. > Perforce is the Fast Software Configuration Management System offering > advanced branching capabilities and atomic changes on 50+ platforms. > Free Eval! http://www.perforce.com/perforce/loadprog.html > _______________________________________________ > List: Openh323gk-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Archive: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=8549 > Homepage: http://www.gnugk.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Perforce Software.
