I get this error also, i reported this sometime back, and got no response on it.

Now that you mention it I have the same trouble :
ld: BFD 2.14.90.0.6 20030820 internal error, aborting at elf32-i386.c line
2247 in elf_i386_relocate_section

But i really think that it is ld's fault not gk.
I've tried both with gcc 3.2.2,3.2.3 and 3.3.2 on slack-current
