Hi, ray,

You use a pwlib version with BROKEN dependency tracking system.
Here is a quote from a README (c) 2003 Andrey S Pankov for pwlib 1.5.3:
--------------------------------------------
4. Open make/common.mak file in your preferred editor and change lines 302 and
307:

        old: @printf %s $(OBJDIR) > $@
        new: @printf %s $(OBJDIR)/ > $@

This will fix dependency tracking system.
--------------------------------------------
If you don't want to modify pwlib sources, just do 'make clean' before 'make
optdepend' and 'make opt[noshared]'

Andrey.
