GNUGK without public IP

I have been trying to use the GNUGK in a LAN, without a public IP.
I can never complete the RAS registration for any terminal outside the LAN because the GCF is sent by the GNUGK with my internal IP.

Does this mean that I can not use the gnugk without public IP ?
If not, which parameter should I use to set the external IP ? HOME does not work.

Regards

The gatekeeper can be assumed to use port 1719 (the well known port),
unless the client and server are configured otherwise. The client can
use whatever UDP port it likes to send RAS requests.
