yo !
We're working on the Radius accounting module. In order to get a call redirected by the gnugk, we would like to know wether the radius client is able to deal with the H323 attributes (non free CISCO protocol) implemented in the Free Radius Server.
Last time I checked it did not.
I would like to point out that the VSA attributes are not a "non free CISCO protocol" as you say. They are Vendor Supplied Attributes. In this instance the attribute mappings are therefore controlled by Cisco. The attributes are however published on the cisco website. (The address is specified in a comment in dictionary.cisco if you are interested)
Anyone is free to impliment these same attributes in their own radius client implimentation if they so with. They are just not free to use the attributes to mean something other than what cisco has specified.
Implimenting the cisco attributes into the GNUGK radius client would make alot of sense and is something I think I have mentioned before on this list. I simply didn't get around to doing it, maybe someone with more time will. That would then make GNUGK work directly with my VoIP code in FreeRADIUS.
