Re: [Openh323gk-users] Gnugk and neighbors

In reading through the relevant parts of the manual, I've become a little unclear on the difference between a "neighbor" gatekeeper that has one or more specific prefixes forwarded to it, and a gatekeeper hierarchy, which utilizes the [Endpoint] parameter. My problem is that if I simply use [RasSrv::Neighbors] and provide both an IP address and the prefix, I always get an error telling me the number I'm dialing isn't registered with the gatekeeper (assuming the number begins with the specified prefix).

Thanks.

Tom

Read the section on parent child in the manual. Maybe this is what you are

If I specify a neighbor gatekeeper in my gnugk.ini file, what do I need
to do in order for gnugk to forward calls beginning with a certain
extension to the specified neighbor gatekeeper? Do I also need to
specify the neighbor as a permanent endpoint?

Thanks.
