[Openh323gk-users] gnuGK performance and recommended hardware

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,

OK, after dealing with GnuGK for the past 4 months now, I'm a little
confused in relation to what would
be the best practice of utilizing GnuGK. Currently, I have a GnuGK running
on the following Hardware:

Compaq DL380
Dual Pentium III 933Mhz
1 Gig RAM
Mandrake 9.0 Distribution with Kernel 2.4.19

Questions is, I've noticed that the machine tends to load upto 1.x during
extreme traffic, however,
when that happens, the gnugk status port becomes completely un-responsive. I
was wondering if
anybody could recommend a hardware/distribution configuration, that is
optimal for GnuGK? something
which is tried and tested in production environments?
