[Openh323gk-users] Re: Nat in 2.0.4/5 Yes

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I am not sure what "nat working thru proxy" is exactly but my wife
was able to register/initiate and connect on a call from behind a nat'ed
firewall (RHL8.0) to an alias behind a second firewall (RHL 7.3) with
GNUGK 2.05 running in proxy mode on the second firewall (support nat'ed
endpoints enabled). If this describes what you are asking then yes..it
works!

I did, however , have problems when I set up GNUGK on the first firewall
(RHL8.0) and attempted to set up a "neighbor" relationship between the
two gatekeepers. Everything seemed to work good at first with LRQ's
being passed to the other GK. But in the midst of my testing the RHL8 GK
stopped working.

I noticed that it only started one gnugk process instead of the 9
processes started on the other system and endpoints were not able to
register to it. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Suggestions?

Versions on both systems GNUGK 2.05 ,openh323_1.12.0., pwlib_1.5.0
I will send an strace or log trace to anyone curious.
