Re: [Openh323gk-users] Can't login to gatekeeper

OK. I did some more research and it seems this happens if the "Home" is not
set in the [Gatekeeper::Main] section. Funny stuff is that the docs say that
by default the gatekeeper listens on all ports. On the other hand I need the
gathekeeper because I have a linux firewall/router on which I wish to run
it. It doesn't work if you put more addresses in the "Home" parameter. So if
you can only put one value there and by default the setting is wrong (tested
this thing on both a linux and win32 machines), how in the world can people
from outside the gateway register themselves if I put the internal ip
address there, which I need in order to let the intranet machines connect to
it?!? The funny stuff is that if I don't fill in the "Home" it defaults to
192.168.0.1 though my router has another ip in the intranet... Funny
stuff... I know the basic router/firewall configuration has the 192.168.0.1
address by default, but come on... You can do a basic ip detection and use
that one. I find it a major security risk to leave default values there....
Maybe a developer would be so friendly to jump in the discussion and help
out. I read the manual in very fine detail and I find it very cryptic and it
lacks some basic examples of values for the major configuration options (not
that they would be that many). A HOWTO would be of real value.

Best regards,
Adrian Golumbovici
