before i come into all this h323 stuff i wanted to ask you if the following scenario would work?
i try to set up a server/gateway/gatekeeper/proxy (however you want to call it) which is public to everyone. so everyone should be able to participate. auth. is done by user/pass.
net overview:
/----------\ LAN /-----\ /----------\ /---------------------\ | OhPhone1 |-----------| NAT |---| INTERNET |----| OpenH323 Gatekeeper | | priv.IP | | |pubIP| \----------/ | pub.IP, no firewall | \----------/ | \-----/ | \---------------------/ | | | | /--------------\ | /-----\ | anyOtherHost |---| | NAT | | priv.IP | |pubIP| \--------------/ \-----/ | | | | /----------\ LAN | /--------------\ | OhPhone2 |---------| anyOtherHost | | priv.IP | | priv.IP | \----------/ \--------------/
my big question is: DO OhPhone1 AND OhPhone2 REACH EACH OTHER (via the OpenH323 Gatekeeper)?
thanx for response, regards, armin.
