dear; i got a question about bandwith utilisation lets say we got LAN A ; LAN B ; each having theire gatekeeper to provide NAT functionality. Each lan has got serveral endpoints. Both gatekeepers are connected to a MAIN gatekeeper; WAN 1. /--------WAN1-------\ LAN A LAN B if smbdy from LAN A calls somebody at LAN B; what router will the voice packets follow a) packets of LAN A are transmitted to WAN1 and after this they are transmitted to LAN B? or b) packets of LAN A are directly transmitted to LAN B ? or are both situations possibile ? the raison why i'm asking this is that we are willing to do prefix based routing; therefore it would be interresting to meet the following specs : customer doesn't see (directly) were packets are terminated : we (provider) aren"t charged with the packets.. Is this possible; so that the main gatekeeper is just a directory; that points out were the data has to be sent to? (situation b) Or is the data ALWAYS passing by the main gatekeeper. (situation a) many thanks -- Best regards, Danny mailto:dannyz@belgonet.com belGOnet.com a Euro-pictures division - internet solutions place princesse elisabeth 9/11 - 1030 Brussels - Belgium Tel : +32-(0)2-215.67.65 - Fax : +32-(0)2-215.66.65 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The best thread debugger on the planet.
