Spam will occasionally slip through even on moderated mailing lists, unfortunately, but there's very little the moderators can do about it by the time it has reached you. Replying to the list about a spam message (twice) certainly doesn't help, and arguably just exacerbates the original problem, especially when you include the original text.

As always, never click on links purporting to be from people or organizations you don't recognise or trust. And especially not if they're supposedly offering you free stuff.
