   1. Gwget reports wrong total file size for DVD ISO download
      (Jay Mistry)
   2. Remote Sata Source for Seahorse Encryption Key Manager?
      (Terry Carmen)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am using gwget (GUI front-end to wget for GNOME) to download the oS
11.2 M6 DVD ISO from
<http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/11.2-Milestone6/iso/>.
The file size reported at the FTP server is 4.3 GB [1]. But gwget
shows the Total Size as 313572 kB (313.572 MB). [2]

Is there a problem with gwget that reports a wrong file size; also
any other suggestions for large file d/l other than gwget ?
(I read earlier that Firefox could not handle file size downloads > 4
GB; is this still true for FF 3.0.13 ?)

Jay

My understanding is that this 4GB limit is a function of Microsoft and does not apply with Unix or with Linux. I also understand that it is a function of FAT32 and may not apply with NTFS.

I have also checked my copy of Suse 11.1 iso and it is 4.2GB.
