Workspace name does not show up

Title: Workspace name does not show up

Hi,

I am using gnome 2.4 on suse enterprise 9.3.

When I try to set the workspace name in 'Workspace switcher preferences' the name does not appear
In the workspace. Any ideas why and how I can correct this?
