May I ask why you are using hoary instead of breezy?? Hoary is old and may contain bugs that are fixed in breezy....

Hi,
installed Ubuntu Hoare (around 2 weeks ago). I recently discovered
(through top) that gconfd-2 used an insane amount of physical memory
(around 500 MB). I killed the process, and it restarted. I've monitored
it for around 30 minutes now, and it has grown from around 7MB to about
24 MB in that time.

So, is this normal or is it a mem leak?

I have Evolution running all the time, and it has a large mem footprint
(which is probably normal considering my amount of e-mails). Could it be
the culprit?

Cheers,
Håkon
