Everyone, I have been tweaking a new Linux Fc4 installation and changed the name of the machine from old.domain.net to new.domain.net by changing the name in Network Configuration module by going into the tab labeled DNS and changing the hostname from old to new. After I did this I keep getting the following message when I login using gnome. "Could not look up internet address for new.domain.net. This will prevent gnome from operating correctly. It may be possible to correct the problem by adding new.domain.net to the file /etc/hosts." I have tried doing what the warning suggested, but there were no changes in the warning. This may be an easy fix but I can not find a reference to point me in the right direction. When the name is changed on a machine is there more than one place to change the name. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg Ennis _______________________________________________ gnome-list mailing list gnome-list@xxxxxxxxx http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-list
