Hi!

My alsa sound card driver has a wonderfully useful feature - The
'master' volume is not master at all, and in fact adjusts the builtin
speaker volume, and nothing else (Hooray!)

Consequently, gnome's hotkey-activated volume control does nothing, as I
don't use the builtin speakers. I've configured the panel volume
control applet to use PCM, which does the trick, but I can't for the
life of me work out how to do the same for the hotkey control.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Alternatively.. Has anyone had a similar alsa issue, and worked out a
way to make the master volume control actually do what it's meant to?
Oh, OSX, sometimes I pine for thee.. ;)

Thanks, guys =)

Mike
