gnome-volume-manager doesn't recognise usb drive

It does recognise other usb drives, so it's all working OK.

Is it possible to add mine? How could I do this?

Here's the error message from gvm:

libhal.c 840 : Error sending msg: No property info.capabilities on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_5_8103_100_-1_123456789ABCDEF
