Still the size of folders isn't shown in properties!

This should work... Try this:

open a folder and click edit | preferences

Then click the display tab

Then change the 'Icon Captions' so that the first
drop-down is 'size'

This is for files, not for folders!

Then click the preview tab

Then change the Folders > Count number of items to
'Local Files Only'

This is number of items, not the size!
In addition, I set this to "never" as otherwise,
browser's speed reduces drastically.
