smb nautilus browse error

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I have Debian "sarge" on a LAN with a Windows 2003 PDC and several
Windows XP workstations that are domain members.

I setup my samba to join my debian system to the domain. When I browse
the other domain members using the console smbclient command, it works
just fine and I can see the shared files. When I use nautilus to browse
the same computers, it gives me this error:

The folder contents could not be displayed.
You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of
"Windows Network: moonstone".

However, when I use the nautilus browser to access windows computers
that are NOT in the domain, it works just fine.

Anyone know if this problem is known or if there is a
workaround/solution? Thank you.
