Dunno which distro you use, under debian those are generated by a
package called libesd0. 


dpkg -l libesd0
||/ Name            Version         Description
+++-===============-===============-==============================================
ii  libesd0         0.2.29-1        Enlightened Sound Daemon - Shared
libraries


ldconfig -p | grep libesd.so
        libesd.so.0 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libesd.so.0
