Acrobat Reader hangs when launched from Epiphany

Hi,

I'm running FreeBSD 5.2-RELEASE with ports x11/gnome2 + print/acroread.

Whenever I follow a link from Epiphany to a .pdf document, Acrobat
Reader launches but hangs at "loading eph.api" or similar, and locks up
Epiphany, too. I can kill acroread and Epiphany recovers but I can then
no longer follow links to .pdf documents (it just opens a new, blank
browser window). If I save the document I can open the document from
Nautilus but I'd rather not have to do that for reading .pdfs from the
web. I'm out of my depth in gnome, anyone know what might be the problem
here?

Thanks,

Wayne
