I'm assuming you mean Nautilus rather than Navigator. I sent out a similar email earlier today, but from what I can tell (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, so I'll stop passing out bad information) the best way to do this is to run konqueror. Then kick off gnome-session-properties. Click on the Current Session tab. Highlight konqueror and choose the restart style and click apply. Then highlight nautilus and choose trash and hit apply. Now each time you login to gnome you should get konqueror sans nautilus.

Where can I specify which file manager to use in Gnome? I want to deinstall Navigator, since it likes to crash at random intervals, and replace it with konqueror. How do I do that? Thanks in advance.
